COMMERCIAL ENGINEERING

VISION TO REALITY

WET UTILITY PLANS

Underground public services are generally classified as wet (storms, sanitary, water) and dry (electrical, communications, gas). There are a number of other public services (steam, chilled water), but these are usually only seen in campus environments such as a hospital or a university.

The civil engineer tends to focus on wet public services. These are generally the most restrictive in terms of geometry (sanitary and storms always flow downhill), depth and size. It is important to consider the routes of other public services when designing the site for wet services. Below are some basic rules based on a local jurisdiction. Some of the values will change depending on the location.

We specialize in the following storm, sanitary and water utilities:

  • Mainline Services and Structures

  • Fire Suppression Services

  • Pipe Bursting

  • Combined Sewer Overflow Separations

  • Water Lines

  • Storm Water Management Systems

  • Sanitary Lines

  • Wastewater

  • Drainage

  • Meter Vault Installation

  • Fire Hydrant Installation
